BURIEN — King County sheriff’s officers say a cab driver has been fatally shot outside the home of friends in the south Seattle suburb of Burien.
Sgt. Cindi West says the suspected shooter turned himself in a short time later. The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
West says the victim had just dropped off a 14-year-old girl at the home where she lives with her mother and teenage brother. The spokeswoman says the girl’s mother and the cab driver were friends.
West says the girl had just gotten out of the cab when her father drove up and fatally shot the cab driver.
The sheriff’s spokeswoman says the teens’ parents have been divorced for about eight years.
The victim was not immediately identified.
