Jehovah’s Witnesses convention: Hundreds of Jehovah’s Witnesses from the Everett area will be among those attending conventions at the Tacoma Dome, held again this weekend and again July 19-21. All are invited. There is no admission and no collection will be taken. Events include a talk on “What Is Truth?,” drama and baptisms. Local Everett halls — at 2530 Harrison Ave., 11422 Airport Road, and 1730 Madison Ave. — hold Bible study classes at 7:30 a.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sundays for those seeking to learn more or get involved. Garage sale: Zion Lutheran Church, 330 Union Ave. in Snohomish, holds a garage sale, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today. There will be a lot of furniture available. Proceeds from the sale will help a family reroof their house.
Riverside Ecclesia Festival: 12:30-6 p.m. today on Jetty Island in Everett. The faith festival organized by Grapevine Ecclesia, a downtown Everett church, includes a family picnic, live music, swimming and volleyball, covenant ceremonies, baptisms and more. A pedestrian ferry runs from the 10th Street Marina boat launch on the waterfront; reservations or early arrival are recommended. Parking at the boat launch is $3. Pedaling the Priesthood: Fr. Bryan Dolejsi of the Archdiocese of Seattle and Fr. Gary Zender of St. Anthony in Renton are riding their bikes for 150 miles over three days from Blaine to Renton to promote vocations to the priesthood. Their tour includes a stop to celebrate mass and give a presentation at 6 p.m. July 20 at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 8517 Seventh Ave. SE in Everett. All are welcome, especially those discerning vocations and those who want to promote vocations. Lutherwood Day Camp: Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church hosts Lutherwood Day Camp July 15-19. A week of songs, games, crafts and team-building activities, the day camp will be led by trained staff from Camp Lutherwood on Lake Samish. Kids ages 6-11 are invited.
