EVERETT – Snohomish County detectives want to talk with anyone who witnessed or was injured during the high-speed chase Friday that stretched from Lake Stevens to Everett.
Investigators believe it’s possible some people who saw the chase or might have been hit by a fleeing car have not yet contacted detectives, said Rebecca Hover, a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
Friday’s chase involved at least two carjackings, several crashes, a foot race through the Everett Mall and gunfire outside the mall and at the Mill Creek Fred Meyer store.
One man, 31, of Everett remains in satisfactory condition at Haborview Medical Center in Seattle. He’s being treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds he received while running away from police.
A Seattle man, 24, also was arrested in the incident and was charged Tuesday in Everett District Court with first-degree robbery and attempting to elude police officers. The man remains jailed on $250,000 bail.
Deputies believe the two men caused as many as nine accidents while reaching speeds up to 100 mph, Hover said.
Anyone with information who has not already contacted authorities is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
