Camano Island woman dies after car crashed into pole

The woman was on E. Camano Drive near Cascade View Drive when the car left the roadway.

CAMANO ISLAND — A woman died Tuesday evening after she crashed a car off the roadway into a pole.

Tarann Fisher, 40, was southbound on E. Camano Drive near Cascade View Drive around 10 p.m. when the 2002 Subaru Legacy she was driving went off the road, according to a memo by the Washington State Patrol. She was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
