EVERETT — A “Uniting for God &Country” Republican candidate forum is planned tonight featuring several candidates running for statewide office as well as for legislative races in Snohomish and King counties.
A meet-and-greet dessert social is planned for 6 p.m. followed by a forum at 7 p.m. The event is planned at Valley View Bible Church, 9717 31st Ave SE, south Everett.
The forum aims to “raise an army of faithful Christian voters who will stand up and support the best candidates to work for the preservation of traditional Christian family values, our economy and our national security.”
The featured guest speaker is Rev. Wayne Perryman, a conservative author and a regular guest on Fox News’ “Hannity” with Sean Hannity.
Candidates include Art Coday, a Shoreline Republican running for U.S. Senate; Stephen Pidgeon, an Everett Republican running for state attorney general; Richard Sanders, running for the state Supreme Court; Clint Didier, a Pasco Republican running for commissioner of public lands; and Sharon Hanek, a write-in candidate for state treasurer.
Legislative candidates include Sam Wilson in the 38th District; Randy Hayden and Eric Alvey, running for two positions in the 32nd District; Elizabeth Scott, 39th District; and Bob McCaughan, 44th District.
