EVERETT — A car crashed into an apartment building just after 11:45 p.m. Friday, forcing residents of three units out of their homes.
No one was injured in the crash in the 500 block of 112th Street SE, Everett police officer Ora Hamel said.
The driver was later booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance, according to police.
Residents of three apartments — the one the car crashed into and two on floors above — had to leave for the weekend, Hamel said. Because the car hit a key part of the building’s structure, it hadn’t been removed, as of Saturday.
An engineer was expected to examine the building, police said.
