SEATTLE — A Seattle Fire Department spokesman says a 71-year-old woman and her 4-year-old grandchild are reported in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center after their car crashed into a south Seattle house.
Spokesman Kyle Moore said firefighters had to cut the woman out of the SUV on Thursday. The child was removed earlier.
The Seattle Times reported that Moore said the woman picked up the child from a nearby school, then later lost control of the car and crashed into the building.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Firefighters determined the house is still structurally sound.
