LYNNWOOD — Two people were injured Friday night when a car hit them as they stood on the left shoulder of I-5 near Lynnwood.
The driver, Miguel Castro Velasco, 25, of Seattle went off the road onto the shoulder and struck Carolyn J. Grove, 60, and John E. Grove, 62, both of Everett, according to the Washington State Patrol. He also stuck an unoccupied vehicle.
Carolyn Grove was taken to Northwest Hospital in Seattle, where she was in satisfactory condition Saturday. John Grove was treated at the scene and released. Velasco was not injured.
The crash was reported at 5:26 p.m.
