BOTHELL — Two teens were hospitalized this morning after the car they were in crashed through a fence and landed upside down in a retention pond in south Snohomish County.
One of the teens got out of the Honda Accord on his own. The second was pulled from the car by a neighbor, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. Sheriff’s divers didn’t find anyone else in the car or pond.
The accident happened about 4 a.m. in the 19900 block of Filbert Drive. It appears that the driver missed a curve in the road and lost control. Deputies are investigating speed as a factor in the crash, Hover said.
One teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and the other was taken to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. Their conditions were not available.
