EVERETT — A man is dead after he was struck by a car in south Everett on Saturday evening.
A man in his 40s was crossing 128th Street SW near 8th Avenue W. around 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by an Infiniti turning onto 128th.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office was starting an investigation, said Lt. Jeff Brand, a sheriff’s spokesman. A portion of 128th was expected to be shut down for sometime.
It’s not clear if the man was using a crosswalk or not, Brand said. Witnesses at the scene were giving different accounts of what happened, he said.
The driver of the car is not under arrest.
Officials weren’t releasing information about the man’s identify Saturday night. They believed he was from Everett.
