EVERETT — Police on Wednesday scoured north Everett for a suspected car thief.
A Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputy just after 4 p.m. spotted a stolen car near the Everett Community College, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The suspect got away when the deputy tried to pull him over.
The suspect abandoned the car and ran away. The chase continued after someone spotted him near Grand Avenue and 21st Street. Everett police searched the area. They were joined by officers from several other agencies, who had a police dog training nearby, Hover said.
The suspect had not been found as of Wednesday night.
