WASHINGTON — Cargolux says it has a tentative deal with Boeing over a dispute that had delayed the delivery of Boeing’s newly revamped 747-8 freighter plane.
Cargolux, based in Luxembourg, said Saturday that the agreement would resolve an impasse involving two planes that were scheduled for delivery last month.
Cargolux was to receive the first of Boeing’s overhauled freighters, which are longer and able to carry more weight than previous versions. It was initially scheduled for delivery about two years ago.
Boeing said last month that the order was on hold because of “unresolved issues” with Cargolux.
Cargolux says it will provide more details after the deal is finalized at a board meeting Friday. The cargo hauler recently reshuffled its board.
Boeing has no immediate comment.
