EVERETT — A man died Saturday and a woman was seriously injured Sunday when they were hit by cars in separate accidents in the middle of thoroughfares.
The man, whose name and age were not immediately available, was struck by a car in the 100 block of Evergreen Way shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday. He was not at a crosswalk and it was dark, officials said.
The driver stopped and remained at the accident scene, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
In the other case, a young woman was hit in the 200 block of SW Everett Mall Way around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. She was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Both incidents are under investigation.
