EVERETT – Students at Everett’s Cascade High School were sent home early today after the school received unspecified e-mail threats.
The school was placed in lockdown from about 11 a.m. until it was dismissed at 12:30 p.m., according to school officials.
Cascade is the largest school in the Everett School District with more than 1,800 students.
“Our students’ safety is our number one concern,” said Jennifer Parker, a school district spokeswoman. “We just wanted to know that our students are safe and that’s why we are releasing them early.”
