Dolton

John and Kathie Dolton of Mount Vernon, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Oct. 5.

They were married in Marysville in 1984 and lived in the Stanwood area for most of their marriage.

The couple met through John’s niece, who was Kathie’s best friend, and fell in love.

Their daughter Jessika West lives in Bellingham with her husband and their three boys.

John was the owner of Stanwood Camano Interiors for many years and Kathie worked for Employment Security in Everett. They are both currently retired and enjoy camping, fishing and traveling in their RV. They are planning a trip to the Caribbean as part of their anniversary celebration.

Durr

Peggy and Dennis Durr of Everett plan to celebrate their 40th anniversary on Saturday.

They were married on Oct. 24, 1969, in Everett.

They have two children and six grandchildren.

Engagement

Prescott-Terry

Patrick Prescott and Lisa Terry of Stanwood are planning an Aug. 14 wedding at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish.

Parents of the groom are Terry and Kim Prescott of Everett. Parents of the bride are Clint and Rochelle Terry of Stanwood.

Terry works for Snocope Credit Union. Prescott works for Pioneer Cable.

He proposed on Valentine’s Day.

100th Birthday

Festa

Edith Festa of Everett celebrated her 100th birthday on Oct. 16.

Her parents were John and Grace Marciano who came here from Avelino, Italy, while Grace was pregnant with her. She was born on Oct. 16, 1909.

Festa was raised in Chelsea and East Boston, Mass.

She married Gabriel Festa in 1928 and was married to him for 56 years until he passed away. They lived in Everett when they got married and raised their five children: Danny Festa, John Festa, Marilyn Gaylardi, Judith Storella and Karyn Russo.

Festa worked in fashion retail for many years.

She has 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Festa exercises every day, cooks all of her own meals, bakes cookies and loves to be with her family. She is frequently visited by her children and grandchildren and according to her family, is looking forward to many more happy days ahead.
