Anniversaries
Silsbee
Dianne and Lynn Silsbee of Lynnwood plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a no-gift reception and potluck dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Park Village Club House, 2725 E. Fir St., Mount Vernon.
Dianne Torset and Lynn Silsbee were married June 20, 1959, at Fir-Conway Lutheran Church in Conway. They left the next day to move to Ketchikan, Alaska, where all three of their children were born. The family returned to Washington in 1963. A longtime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Lynn Silsbee is retired. The Silsbees live part of the year in Sun City, Ariz.
Their children are Kerri McKibben of Lynnwood, Lynda Silsbee and Jay Smith of Kirkland, and Jeffrey L and Christine Silsbee of Fredericksburg, Va. They also have eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Osborn
Patricia and Henry Osborn of Camano Island plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration beginning at noon Saturday at Camano Island State Park.
Introduced to each other by their friend Tiny Jackson at the Chicken Roost coffee shop in Lynnwood, the Osborns were married two weeks later on July 31, 1959, at Alderwood Community Church.
They have eight children, 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, with more on the way.
Chonzena
Georgia and Joe Chonzena of Snohomish celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Wednesday. They are planning an anniversary trip.
The Chonzenas were married July 15, 1944, at Zion Lutheran Church in Snohomish.
They have four children, nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Engagement
Sullivan and Wright
Ashley Lin Sullivan, daughter of Stephen and Melissa Sullivan of Lynnwood, is engaged to be married to Bryan Joseph Wright, son of Glenda Wright of Seattle and Randy Wright of Renton.
The wedding is set for Aug. 21, 2010.
Sullivan accepted Wright’s proposal at the summit of Mount Si near North Bend on June 18.
