TACOMA — Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist says his office is considering possible negligence or recklessness charges against the owner of two pit bull dogs that fatally attacked a 65-year-old woman in Spanaway.
The attack on Oct. 30 sent Nga Woodhead to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma for a week. Her husband, Charles Woodhead, said they were waiting for discharge papers Tuesday when she suffered a heart attack related to her injuries and died.
Wednesday would have been the 42nd wedding anniversary for the couple who met while he was serving in the Air Force in Vietnam.
The Pierce County sheriff’s office said she was mauled while walking near her home by two dogs that escaped from a fenced yard. The dogs were shot and killed by deputies.
