GEORGE — About 20,000 people are attending the Creation Northwest Christian music festival that started Wednesday and runs through Saturday at the Gorge Amphitheatre.
The Seattle Times reports it’s the message as much as the music that brings together church groups and families.
They’re hearing 70 artists and 20 speakers on two stages. Other festival activities include guitar workshops, a petting zoo, skateboarding and a prayer tent.
There’s an 11:30 p.m. curfew on boomboxes at the camp site.
Teens look like typical concertgoers with skinny pants, bandannas and piercings. But their T-shirts say “Satan is Dead,” “Virginity Rocks,” and “Jesus Freak.”
