Christmas Eve truck race sends two to hospital

EVERETT — A truck race on Evergreen Way sent two people to the hospital on Christmas Eve.

Everett police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said two trucks were racing northbound in the 4900 block of Evergreen Way at about 8 p.m. Monday when a car pulled out of a parking lot and collided with one of the trucks. Drivers of both vehicles were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, police said.

No further details were available on Tuesday.
