New garbage coupons in MLT

Beginning in 2010, Mountlake Terrace residents will have a new coupon program available as a part of their garbage service allowing for four extra items per year at no additional charge. This replaces the curbside cleanup program. These coupons, issued by Waste Management, will be mailed directly to residents and may be used on any regularly scheduled pick up date. Items accepted in the coupon program will include extra units of garbage or yard waste.

Networking opportunity

The South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce will host its semi-annual Bring-a-Buddy to Breakfast networking event, 7:15 a.m., Friday, Nov. 20, at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Kris Arumilli is opening Edmonds Pharmacy Nov. 12. The store is located at 7631 212 St. S.W. and features a drive thru. A grand opening celebration is set for the weekend of Nov. 19, 20 and 21.

Everett to pilot new districtwide neighborhood meetings

State ferries to implement 3% credit, debit card surcharge

The legislature approved the fee last year to help cover the cost of credit and debit card fees. It goes into effect on March 1.
