EVERETT – The appeal of the Everett Hearing Examiner’s decision concerning the planned 41st Street overpass is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday at the Planning/Community Development Hearing Room on the 8th floor of the Wall Street Building, 2930 Wetmore Ave.
The Lowell Civic Association, represented by Michele Hoverter, is appealing the SEPA Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance #99-049, revision dated April 21.
The proposed project extends 41st Street east from the intersection at S. Third Avenue across the train tracks and the Everett tire fire/landfill site. The city of Everett plans to build about 1,400 feet of new road and a 250-foot bridge over the railroad tracks.
The preliminary road design includes four to five travel lanes, bicycle lanes and sidewalks. It will also include realignment of two sections of a Snohomish County PUD transmission line. The city staff contact person is David Tyler, at 425-257-8731.
