VANCOUVER, Wash. — The Clark County sheriff’s office says an inmate found unresponsive late Monday afternoon in his Vancouver jail cell apparently killed himself.
Corrections deputies, medical staff and Vancouver Fire Department responders tried unsuccessfully to revive the man.
The inmate was not immediately identified. He was the only person in his cell.
The death is under investigation.
No additional details were released Monday night.
