EVERETT — A cleanup crew discovered a decomposed body in a wooded area alongside an I-5 exit south of Everett Monday morning.
"It had been there for some time," said Jan Jorgensen, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
"We don’t have the cause or manner of death, nor do we have a positive identification at this time," Jorgensen added.
The bones were found in a wooded area west of the freeway near the 128th Street SW exit and I-5. It was not immediately known if the remains were that of a man or a woman, Jorgensen said.
