MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK — A Canadian climber was injured in a fall Sunday while descending from the summit of Mount Rainier.
National Park spokeswoman Patti Wold says he was at the 13,500-foot level at the top of Emmons Glacier when he fell.
He was airlifted by an Army Reserve Chinook copter Sunday night and taken to Madigan Army Medical Center with multiple injuries.
Wold identified him as Peter Almerling of British Columbia, but did not have his age or hometown.
