EVERETT — Road work that would have required the complete closure of northbound I-5 at Everett Mall Way tonight has been postponed because of the rainy weather, said Connie Lewis, a construction spokeswoman for the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The work is being delayed until crews can work on dry pavement — probably Tuesday night, Lewis said.
A lane that currently ends south of Highway 526 is planned to be realigned and made into an exit for the highway. Realigning the lane to become an exit will involve restriping and paving work, which requires dry weather, Lewis said.
