EVERETT – Detectives on Friday asked for the public’s help in the investigation of a suspicious death.
A man’s body was found just before 7 p.m. Thursday outside in a residential area in the 600 block of W. Casino Road, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Someone initially called 911 to report that there was an unconscious man outside.
Officers determined that he had died, Goetz said.
The victim is a white man in his 30s. His name was being withheld until his family could be notified, Goetz said.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are investigating the man’s death.
“Until the cause (of death) has been determined, we treat all deaths as homicides,” Goetz said.
The Snohomish County medical examiner was expected to do an autopsy to determine how the man died.
Goetz wouldn’t say whether there were any signs of trauma or where exactly the man was found.
“We don’t have any suspicions at this time that the community needs to be alarmed,” Goetz said.
