EVERETT — A stormy cold front is stirring things up in Snohomish County tonight.
The cold front started hitting the coast with a line of thunderstorms around 4 p.m. and weakened slightly as it moved inland, said Doug McDonnal, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Seattle.
The windiest conditions around here were reported north of Everett. Gusts of up to 50 mph were recorded between Everett and south county.
Scattered power outages and downed trees were reported across the county, with much of the excitement taking place on or near Paradise Lake Road in Maltby.
The storm was starting to move east into the Cascade Range around 7 p.m., McDonnal said.
