Collision near Stanwood injures 2

STANWOOD — A head-on wreck near Stanwood on Wednesday night seriously injured a man and a small boy.

The crash was reported around 8:30 p.m. on Kayak Point Road east of its intersection with Marine Drive, said Christian Davis, a battalion chief with North County Regional Fire Authority.

Two vehicles were involved, Davis said. Several other people were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

No other details were available Wednesday night.
