Eagle Scout honors veterans in Lynnwood
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1040 of Lynnwood on Sept. 6 presented Art Winton of Boy Scout Troop 49 with the VFW Eagle Scout Award at Winton’s National Court of Honor.
Art’s Eagle Scout project was installing the Korean War Memorial in Lynnwood Veterans Park. He collected the funds needed for the project and also used his leadership skills working with many Troop 49 Scouts and others to install it in an appropriate manner.
Zonta honors longtime members
The Zonta Club of Everett recently honored seven of its members for their length of service in membership and their dedication to advancing the status of women: Susan Zakos (30 years), Margaret Bruland (35 years), Chris Rommel (35 years), Cindy Phillips (30 years), Linda Senter (35 years), Carol Johnson (25 years) and Marion Berry (25 years).

Golf tourney raises $11K
Judd and Black held a golf tournament on Aug. 17 that raised $8,000 for Christmas House and $3,000 for the North Everett Boys &Girls Club.
