Interfaith Association receives grant

Interfaith Association of Northwest Washington recently received a $5,000 grant from Opus Community Foundation. The funds are focused on children’s services at The Family Shelter, a program of Interfaith, which is based in Everett.

The Family Shelter helps homeless families who stay up to four months.

“It is crucial to assist the children during this time of great stress and instability,” said Mary Ellen Wood, executive director. “The children experience a sense of security and safety, for perhaps one of the few times in their young lives.”
