Ribbon cutting: Everett Community College and the Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic celebrate the opening of Liberty Hall at 1 p.m. June 5. The three-story, $37.5 million facility, is located at 903 North Broadway next to the college’s Fitness Center. In addition to EvCC classrooms and labs, the building will be the new home of the Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic, now located across the street. Viva Color: Help turn the curves of Mukilteo Boulevard in Everett into a trail of flowers, 9-11 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help plant 40,000 colorful flowers in 15,000 square feet of flower beds near Forest Park. A free event shuttle will be at the View Ridge Plaza parking lot, located west of Forest Park at the three-way intersection of Mukilteo and Olympic boulevards and Dogwood Drive. Trails Day at Reiter Foothills: The Washington State Department of Natural Resources invites the public to celebrate the American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day by volunteering Saturday at one of DNR’s many events throughout Washington. Locally, volunteers will gather 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Reiter Foothills, near Gold Bar, to work on ATV trails. Bring your ATV and trailer to haul rock. There will also be opportunities to use powered wheel barrows, install signs, and other activities to build trails.
