Watch: International students perform

Edmonds Community College is holding its International Night at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

International night is a series of performances by students highlighting traditions from their home countries.

Tickets

can be purchased through Feb. 17 for $5 at the college’s office of student life in the Triton Student Center located in the Brier Hall building.

Beginning Feb. 17, tickets will be available online for $8 through the Edmonds Center for the Art website, www.ec4arts.org.

The center is at 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds.

Bid: Auction and fundraising dinner

The Lakewood Sports Boosters plan to host the annual auction and fundraising dinner March 12 at the Stillaguamish Senior Center.

The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

Donations of auction items, beverages and desserts will be accepted through March 4.

The center is at 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.

Celebrate: Library’s centennial anniversary

The Edmonds Carnegie Library will be celebrating its 100th anniversary with a free event at 5 p.m., Feb. 17 at the Edmonds Historical Society.

Edmonds Mayor Mike Cooper will open the celebration that features cake, sparkling cider and a display of the building’s history.

Learn: Fire safety at the lighthouse

Mukilteo Fire Marshall Jim Thomas is scheduled to speak tonight at the Mukilteo Historical Society’s general meeting.

The presentation is titled “Fire and Safety at the Mukilteo Light Station.” The meeting starts at 7:15 at the Fowler Room in the new Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. Refreshments will be served.

Grant: Opportunity for youth groups

Today is the last day to apply for grants with Youth Problem Gambling and The Arts.

Grants ranging from $500 to $10,000 are available to energetic youth groups.

Apply: Women’s club offers scholarships

The Evergreen Republican Women’s Club is offering two $1,000 scholarships to high school senior girls who will be attending college this fall.

Applicants must write an essay about the book “The 500 Year Leap” by W. Cleon Skousen.

Applications and essays are due March 1. Winners will be announced March 2.
