Help: Horse group seeks volunteers
Equestrian Crossings is looking for volunteers from April 17 through June 8 in Oak Harbor and Greenbank. Volunteer training is set to start April 10. To sign up as a volunteer, download a registration packet from www.equestriancrossings.com. You may volunteer for as little as one lesson per week or volunteer for up to an entire day. Volunteers need to be at least 10 years old. They will help students learn to take care for, groom, tack and work safely with their horses, both mounted and on the ground. Shoot: Club to host annual turkey shoot
Granite Falls Sportsmen’s Club plans an annual turkey shoot to benefit the organization and the Granite Falls food bank. It’s set for 10 a.m. April 1 at the club, 20319 Gun Club Road, Granite Falls. Costs are $4 per game or $22 for five games and a prize. Bring non-perishable food items. People can also participate in bingo and raffles to win either a turkey or ham. Help: Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser planned
Clothes For Kids plans a Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 21 at Lynnwood Bowl and Skate, 6210 200th St. SW, Lynnwood. Cost is $20 per person and includes three games, shoe rental and a Clothes For Kids Bowl-A-Thon T-shirt. To register online, visit www.brownpapertickets.com/event/228974. Eat: Breakfast for Compass Health
Compass Health will host a breakfast fundraiser from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. May 15, at the Tulalip Resort Hotel, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip. Doors open at 7 a.m. The breakfast is open to the public, but RSVPs are required because space is limited. The Camano Island Chamber of Commerce plans a fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. June 2 at the Commons at Terry’s Corner, 848 Sunrise Blvd., Camano Island. The free event will feature vendors, live music, art and promotional items from chamber members. There will be three tastes of beer or wine for $5, snacks at $5 each, and activities for the kids.
