MARYSVILLE — A $1.18 million project to build a new water main along 83rd Avenue NE begins Monday and is expected to last until early December. The new water main will replace the current one built in 1976 and offer more capacity to serve the city’s growing southeast community.
Construction on the 1.2-mile-long project will start at Soper Hill Road near 29th Place NE and continue to just north of Sunnyside School Road. The work, by Reece Construction, will include a new water main, valves and services in the southbound lane of 83rd Avenue, followed by pavement grinding, overlay and new road markings.
Drivers can expect single-lane closures on 83rd and possible delays.
