MARYSVILLE – A construction worker died this morning after he was struck by a car just east of Marysville while attempting to stop traffic to allow a truck to back out of a driveway.
The Washington State Patrol identified the victim as Bryan L. Ward, 55, of Sedro-Woolley. He was struck about 9:30 a.m. by a 1994 Honda Accord, which had been traveling west on Highway 528 near 83rd Avenue NE, troopers said.
Ward apparently was thrust into the windshield, breaking it and injuring the driver of the car.
