EVERETT — The Snohomish County Council could decide as early as next week whether to allow Bennett Development to build portions of a new subdivision on Lowell-Larimer Road outside Snohomish.
The council on Monday decided that storm-water runoff from 158 homes in the proposed Heritage subdivision could drain into a nearby potato field. The houses would be built on 46 acres.
A separate potential sticking point comes from neighbors in the existing Highlands neighborhood. They are worried the new development would dump too much traffic onto neighborhood streets.
The council plans to address the traffic issue, which concerns only one of five building applications under consideration, at 3 p.m. Monday. If the council reaches a decision on the traffic, it could vote on all five applications.
