WENATCHEE — As of Wednesday afternoon, firefighters from at least eight Snohomish County fire districts were helping with wildfire efforts in Eastern Washington.
Local firefighters are working in the Wenatchee and Coulee City areas from Gold Bar, rural Arlington, Monroe, Sultan, Lake Stevens, Oso, the North County Regional Fire Authority and Getchell, officials said.
In most cases, they are working together to communicate with neighbors in high-risk areas and to protect homes and other buildings in case the fires spread.
