EVERETT — Snohomish County’s chief information officer was put on paid administrative leave this week while an outside investigator looks into workplace misconduct allegations.
Trevor Esko has overseen the county’s government tech services since early 2016. He previously held a management position in King County’s information technology department.
County Executive Dave Somers’ office placed Esko on leave Monday.
“Snohomish County takes all allegations of employee misconduct seriously, and we have brought in a third party to investigate,” spokesman Kent Patton said in an email. “All employees, but particularly our leaders, must maintain the high standards our residents expect of their public servants. We will take all necessary steps to ensure that Snohomish County employees have a safe and supportive work environment.”
The statement did not detail any specific allegations.
Esko is among the county’s highest-paid employees. His annual salary for 2017 was $183,264.
