VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police have recovered an illegal credit card skimming device from a convenience store gas pump in Vancouver.
They are warning customers to be aware their credit or debit card information may have been stolen by identity thieves.
The device was found Monday by an employee servicing the pump. The Vancouver Columbian reports it was plugged into the wiring behind the panel and invisible to customers.
No skimmers were found on other pumps at the station.
