LYNNWOOD — Four adults and seven children were displaced by a fire at a Lynnwood townhome complex Thursday afternoon.
The flames were initially reported on the bottom floor of a two-story building around 3 p.m. in the 19800 block of 50th Avenue W, South County Fire spokesperson Shawneri Guzman said.
Investigators later said it appeared the fire started on the outside of the building.
South County crews responded to the scene and had the fire under control within 10 minutes of the initial call. Mukilteo and Everett firefighters helped battle the flames.
Several units were damaged, but there were no reports of injuries. Utilities in the building would likely be shut down, so other residents could be displaced as well, Guzman said.
A damage estimate wasn’t available Thursday.
Little fire damage was visible from the building exterior, aside from broken windows in building No. 12.
A fire marshal responded to help determine the cause.
