INDEX — Police have recovered the body of a man who drowned July 19 in the North Fork Skykomish River near Index.
The Snohomish County sheriff’s dive team and helicopter team assisted Search and Rescue with the operation.
The body was found Wednesday near Bear Creek Falls, in the area of Index-Galena Road.
The man was 27, of Lake Stevens. His name was not made public. The county Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the death.
