Here’s a roundup of some of the more interesting recent neighborhood crime news provided by police.
Lake Stevens
* Highway 9 and Lundeen Parkway, Oct. 8. Officers responded to a broken-down car driven by a 20-year-old man. Further investigation revealed the man was allegedly driving with a suspended license.
* 1800 block of Vernon Road, Oct. 10. A 39-year-old man ordered a credit report and discovered a past-due account he was not aware of. An officer gave the man information on how to protect his identity.
* 10700 block of Vernon Road, Oct. 11. Officers responded to a report of a stolen car. A 61-year-old woman went to go to work and her car wasn’t where she left it. Officers filed a report for further investigation.
* 800 block of E. Lakeshore Drive, Oct. 12. A 20-year-old man was pulled over on suspicion of driving with a suspended license. Police found possible drug paraphernalia in the car. The man was cited for driving while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.
