LYNNWOOD — A young man in a mask pepper-sprayed an 11-year-old Lynnwood boy who answered the door on Halloween.
The boy answered a knock around 8 p.m., thinking it was trick-or-treaters, in the 18100 block of 48th Avenue W in Lynnwood, police said. He opened the door to see what appeared to be two teenage boys wearing masks from the movie “Scream.” The teens said “trick-or-treat,” and one of them sprayed an irritant at the boy.
Both the boy and his mother were treated at the scene.
Police searched the neighborhood but could not find the teens.
