Darrington woman seriously injured in hit-and-run crash

The woman was driving west on Highway 530 when another driver allegedly crossed the centerline and hit her.

DARRINGTON — A Darrington woman suffered serious injuries early Monday after another driver allegedly swerved into the oncoming Highway 530 lane and hit her car, then ran away.

The injured woman, 32, was driving west in a Toyota Camry around 12:54 a.m. when the other driver, in a BMW 550, reportedly was speeding and swerved into the oncoming lane and hit her car, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The other driver ran away from the crash scene. The Darrington woman was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, and her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
