ABERDEEN — Early election results show John Erak has 53 percent of the vote in his Aberdeen City Council race, although he died in June.
The 81-year-old former state representative died shortly after announcing he was running to retain his seat.
KXRO radio reports challenger Alan Richrod may be appointed to the position, even if he does not receive a majority of votes in the final count.
