LEAVENWORTH — A Cascade Medical Center official says a deer paid a brief visit to the new Leavenworth hospital after strolling through the automatic doors of the emergency room.
Hospital Facilities Director Greg Horton told KING-TV that the animal walked down the hall and into the patient dining room Wednesday. Hospital workers closed the door to that room briefly so they could close the rest of the corridor doors.
When the dining room was opened again, the deer departed — with a little coaxing from hospital staff.
