EVERETT – Drivers can expect delays starting at midnight on I-5 through Everett so a power company can pull a large cable across all the lanes of the freeway near Everett Mall Way.
The traffic delays are expected to last until about 3 a.m. with the Washington State Patrol conducting rolling slowdowns during the time through Everett. There will likely be long delays, state transportation officials say.
Onramps in the area will be blocked during the work.
Drivers are asked to check the Washington Department of Transportation traffic map for the latest traffic conditions and possibly plan alternate routes if they need to travel through this area.
