VANCOUVER, Wash. — Clark County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a rash of burglaries at several Walgreens stores involving stolen medication.
The Columbian reported that deputies responded to an alarm at the Walgreens in the Fairgrounds neighborhood at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, but didn’t locate a suspect.
Sgt. Craig Randall says they worked with the alarm company to determine that the suspect was wearing a dark hoodie. The person pried open the front doors and used a rock to smash the window of the pharmacy section. Once inside, the person grabbed an unknown amount of medication before fleeing.
Randall says the same thing has happened to four or five other Walgreens stores over the past few weeks. Deputies are investigating the crimes.
