BOTHELL — Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives are trying to sort out the suspect from the victim after two men were stabbed Monday night in the 1900 block of 129th Place SE.
A 21-year-old man who was stabbed was treated at Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus and later released, sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said Tuesday.
A 19-year-old man underwent surgery at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was listed in satisfactory condition with a stab wound to the right chest, hospital spokeswoman Kristin Foley said.
Deputies responded about 7:50 p.m. to a reported stabbing in the street. When deputies and detectives arrived, they found two men who had been stabbed, Jorgensen said.
The 22-year-old "suspect" told investigators that the two "victims" actually had attacked him and that he acted in self-defense, she said.
He was cooperative with detectives and was released pending further investigation.
No weapon was recovered and the reason for the altercation was unknown.
All three men live in the Everett or Arlington areas, Jorgensen said.
