EVERETT — Police located a car in Marysville that belonged to a woman who was found dead Tuesday morning in south Everett.
A Marysville man who was with the car at the time was detained for questioning.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives believe the 50-year-old woman’s death is suspicious.
Her body was found in a home along Fourth Avenue W, near Mariner High School. Her roommate called 911 about 1:20 a.m., sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The woman’s car was found around 1:30 p.m. Detectives were talking with the 59-year-old Marysville man Tuesday afternoon, Ireton said.
No arrests have been made.
The woman’s name and cause of death were not released Tuesday.
Sheriff’s detectives and investigators with the Washington State Patrol crime lab continued to collect evidence throughout the day.
Drivers were told to expect lane closures while detectives are on scene.
